01 · Setup

Install and open FrameVela.

Install Version 1

Download the archive, then run these commands one at a time in Terminal.

Sign in once

Complete Google identity setup in the system browser and keep “Remember me on this device” enabled. FrameVela remembers only basic profile fields—not Google access tokens.

Google Vids has its own separate browser sign-in and access rules.

02 · Workflows

Follow the mode that matches your story.

01

Shorts & Reels

Hook-first vertical videos with continuous narration and timed clips.

  1. Open Create and choose Shorts & Reels.
  2. Set the target duration, platform and Portrait format.
  3. Write the full spoken script. Put the strongest hook in the first sentence.
  4. Add PART 1 / PART 2 scene prompts, then choose voice, pace, captions and transitions.
  5. Generate, review each approval checkpoint, and export after the final preview.

Documentary

Long-form videos with structured narration, scenes, avatars and captions.

  1. Choose Long Video / Documentary and enter the topic and title.
  2. Set duration, Landscape format, audience, narration voice and visual direction.
  3. Choose avatar and caption settings only when the story needs them.
  4. Start generation. If FrameVela pauses for avatar placement or review, finish that step in Google Vids.
  5. Return to FrameVela, press Start / Continue once, approve the preview and export.

AI Clip

Generate one controlled shot, then use, edit or extend the newest result.

  1. Choose AI Clip and describe the subject, action, camera, lighting and sound.
  2. Select duration and format, then generate the first result.
  3. Choose Use, Edit or Extend at the review checkpoint.
  4. Inspect the newest result before inserting it into the timeline.
  5. Approve the final preview and save the MP4.

Animate Image

Turn a still source image into controlled, reviewable motion.

  1. Choose Animate Image and attach a clear PNG, JPG or WEBP image.
  2. Describe camera motion, subject motion and what must remain unchanged.
  3. Generate and inspect the motion result before inserting it.
  4. Approve only when the subject and composition remain consistent.
  5. Play the final timeline and export the MP4.

03 · Checkpoints

When the automation pauses.

Read the current instruction in Activity & approvals.

Open Google Vids only when manual review or editing is requested.

Finish the requested action, return to FrameVela, then press Start / Continue once.

Use Copy Live Log if you need support. Avoid repeated clicks while a step is running.
